a quick and dirty review of the best parts
1 - they start playing some song...fiddle part souns familliar...cant recognize it...audience is reacting...not Nickel Creek's song - figured that much out.
then it hit me. it was brit spears TOXIC. it was pretty funny. chris sang most verses. falsetto a corse. the girl (who i call THE GIRL) sang some verses and did some wailing at the end. there are some mp3s of it out there if you look hard.
2 - they incorperated the song SHORT PEOPLE into one of their songs. it was good and different. sang by sara (aka the girl).
3 - the encore....
chris: there seems to be such a barren space between us..if some of you would come down here in the isles or in front of the stage we'd appreciate it...
so im there a coupla people back from the side of the stage sara the girl is playin on and they do the FOX into which they incorperated the song Up on Cripple Creek which was PERFECT and a real spine tingler.. then they finished the fox.
they ended the encore and show with Why Should the Fire Die.
the opening guy...Sexton... also a winner.
